Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

A little bit about me...

Art has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was little. It was not uncommon to find me drawing or coloring away. When it came time for me to go to college, it was no question that I would enter the art field.

In September of 2001, I moved to Tempe, Arizona, where I attended Collins College. In the summer of 2003, I graduated with an AOS Degree in Computer Animation.

Fitness and art have always been strong interests for me, so upon graduation, I moved back home and got a job working at LifeTime Fitness in customer service. After working out and losing 30 pounds in 3 months, I decided to begin studying and became a personal trainer. I began creating my own flyers and brochures to market my skills at the gym. Other trainers began to ask me to design work for them as well and asked me why I wasn't working in the art field because I definitely had a talent.

What they said seemed to really click in my head, so I then enrolled in the Bachelors program for Graphic Design at the Illinois Institute of Art. I am excited to begin a new career where my talent can be shared and I can continue to learn more skills and improve skills that I already know. There is no other field that I would rather have a career in then Graphic Design, but I would love to be able to merge my love for graphic design and my love of health and fitness.

As far as hobbies go, I enjoy softball, weight training, boxing, and yoga. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program (RYT 200) and am a certified yoga instructor. When work and life get stressful, yoga is what helps me clear my head. After undergoing a cervical spine surgery, weight training was pretty tough for me, so my spine surgeon recommended that I take yoga classes to help stabilize my spine. Over a few months, it helped my back feel great again! I wasn't in pain and it is helping me to keep my low back from any pain. I look forward to being able to help others to reap the benefits that I have found through yoga. :)

Namaste!
